Welcome to the Cottonian Education Pages
This section of the Cottonian Collection web site is devoted to the provision of education resources for teachers. Various projects have been devised for teachers to use in the classroom. All projects are based on the National Curriculum and use images from the Cottonian Collection. Further information about the range of projects can be found by clicking on the topics on the left hand side of the page.

The projects have been created by Plymouth teachers using the resources of the Cottonian Collection.

Currently projects have been developed for Art and History, Key Stages 1 and 2.
Click here to learn more about the projects.

The collection was assembled in the 18th century by Charles Roger FSA FRS (1711-1784) and includes thousands of rare historic prints and other media dating from the 15th to 19th centuries. This wealth of images is an invaluable resource for education purposes.

Browse through the collection pages to view a selection from this internationally important collection.
