There is currently one project available for Unit 5A. It was developed during winter 2003/4 in association with Widewell Primary School, Plymouth. Thanks are due to Joanne Gadow (English Coordinator) for her support and interest in developing this project.

The teaching session introduced the physical elements behind the construction of a still life. The children composed their own arrangement and developed skills of digital photography and painting in carrying through the various associated tasks. The whole range of art media can be explored as well as utilising local collections

A range of images have been selected from the prints and illustrated books in the Cottonian Collection to support the 'Objects & Meanings' project. They include varying subject matter such as specific still life studies and also a number of other studies of interiors containing more complex objects.
