Introduction
There is currently one project available for this Unit. It was developed during 2004 in conjunction with Leigham Primary School, Plymouth. Thanks are due to Kirsty Jeffries and Katie Jane for their hard work and co-operation in the production of this project.  The activities focus on certain aspects of Egyptian culture, specifically their written hieroglyphics and religion. Other themes that could be used as a focus for this project in the future could be the River Nile, Ancient Egyptian society, or, as a cross-curricular study with Geography.  Egyptian Handling Collections & Support Visits There is a set of replica Egyptian artefacts which can be borrowed by local schools carrying out this project using the Cottonian Collection images. This may be requested at the time of emailing for the Teacher's pack on the 'Contact Us' page. In addition, the museum's Education Department offers a more extensive handling collection, utilising original Egyptian artefacts from the Human History collections, and can support this project through visits to schools by one of the staff.
