Thank you for visiting the web sites of the Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery and the Cottonian Collection and reviewing our privacy policy. To protect your privacy this notice explains our web information practices.
    1. Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery/Plymouth City Council is committed to protecting your privacy. All the information you give us is private and secure.



    2. We do not collect any personal information by which you can be identified (e.g. name, address, email etc.) except for information provided by you on a voluntary basis, in accordance with the regulations set out in the UK Data Protection Act of 1998.



    3. We will not sell, rent or transfer personally identifiable information on users to third parties, except if required by law.



    4. You may choose to provide us with personal information in an e-mail message (ie name/address/e-mail address/telephone, fax or mobile number) and submit it to one of our web sites. We use that information only to respond to your message and to help us provide you with the material you have requested. It will not be used for any other purpose.



    5. If you submit personal details (eg name/address/telephone, fax & mobile numbers/e-mail address and credit card details) by fax, post or by e-mail to purchase merchandise from the Museum Shop, this information will only be used to process your order. The information will not be retained.
